Spring 2013 Events

Yoga with Linda Campbell has returned to the Rec Mondays at 6:30 pm.
Hour-long yoga classes have begun and will run until June 3. Admission $5 per person or $15 for a family with preschool-aged children admitted free of charge.

Stewiacke Valley Expo April 20, 9 am to 2 pm.
Shop for Mother's Day at the first Expo showcasing local businesses, artisans, and craftspeople at the Rec this spring. There will be lunch for purchase, door prizes, and admission is free.

Kids Clothing and Toy Sale April 27
The spring sale goes from 9:30 am to noon. Admission $1. Email the MSRA if you are interested in selling.

Bottle Drive May 4
The annual bottle drive will start at 9:00 am, so save those items that carry a deposit. If you are not going to be home that day and have bottles to donate, please email the MSRA to arrange alternative pickup or to drop your bottles off.

Spring Cleanup May 31
Spring cleanup of the Rec is May 31 starting at 6:30 pm. Come help us spruce up the Rec Centre both inside and out.

Family Dance--Coming soon
Featuring the rock and roll and country music of Heel-Toe Express. Watch the bulletin board for details.

Annual General Meeting
Our annual general meeting took place on February 3, with Sandra Chaplin returning as Chairperson, Jeannie McCurdy as the Treasurer, and Brian McCurdy as the Vice Chairperson. Kim White accepted the position of Secretary, with Karen DeGroot, Jennifer Fisher, and Kirk Redden returning as directors. We welcome Marianne Lohnes as a new director. Membership fees were set at $1.
